Country music star Melinda Schneider's inspiring single Courageous has become the anthem for a mission bringing together one million women.
The Golden Guitar winner is one of 100 ambassadors for the campaign which aims to have the milllion women cut carbon emissions by a tonne each through simple changes such as switching the house lights off.
"It is all about women being courageous in making a difference,'' she said. "I'm certainly not an expert on climate change but what I like about 1 Million Women is that it makes doing something positive so easy and we feel like we are really contributing.''
The women are led by mother-of-four Natalie Isaacs, 48, who had become afraid the complexity of the climate change debate, including the Emissions Trading Scheme, was turning people off.
Ms Schneider will perform at the first event of the campaign's Climate Change Series, a breakfast which will be held on November 20 at Sydney's Hilton Hotel.
Seats to the breakfast are $120 each through the 1 Million Women website 1millionwomen.com.au.
The Daily Telegraph is giving away 10 tickets at a table which will be hosted by campaign ambassadors.
