How worried should we be?

Global warming is real. The global average temperature in 2003 was the third hottest since record keeping began in the late 1800s (1998 was the first, 2002 was second), and the ten warmest years on record have occurred since 1990. The 1990s was the warmest decade in the Northern Hemisphere in the past 1,000 years. We have only just begun to feel the impact of global warming. It’s consequences for the next generation are potentially catastrophic.
