Food for Thought
Every tonne of carbon dioxide that is not emitted can also save you money. 
Climate Works Australia has reported that for every tonne of carbon dioxide emitted you can save the following:
- Reduce air conditioning temperatures at home by 2 degrees and save $56 per tonne of carbon dioxide saved
- Do the same at work, and that 2 degrees will save $92 per tonne of carbon dioxide saved
- Switch appliances off from standby and save $56 for every tonne of carbon dioxide saved
- Refill bottles with tap water instead of buying bottled water and save an additional $200 for every tonne of carbon dioxide saved
