Dr Tony Wilkins, who manages News Limited’s Environmental and Climate Change Department spent 12 years in the areas of medical and forest research before moving to his current position in 1990. He has been a member of the Board of the Publishers National Environment Bureau (PNEB) since 1991. In 2004/5 Tony was invited to the New South Wales Extended Producer Responsibility Expert Reference Group which advises the Environment Minister on ways to progress “wastes of concern”.
He is a past president of the Waste Management Association of Australia NSW branch, and has been an industry representative on Standards Australia committee QR-11 which helped develop the ISO14000 international standards on Environment Management Systems.
Amy Foxe has held the position of Assistant Manager since 1999. Amy has previously sat on the NSW Environmental Trust Environmental Education Technical Review Committee, and is a judge for the Australian Museum Eureka Prizes. Appointed a News Corporation Global Team Leader in 2007, Amy spent 2008 on secondment to BSkyB (British Sky Broadcasting) in the UK as Head of Environment, and Corporate Environmental Affairs Manager at News International. Amy has an Honours degree in Science, majoring in geology & marine geography, and a Masters in Environmental Management.
Claire Baskin joined the Environment and Climate Change team in 2008, in a part time capacity while completing her studies in Psychology at the University of Sydney. Claire’s role involves co-ordinating the various activities and initiatives of the Department, including updating and maintaining the One Degree website, and coordinating our internal communications.
