For more than 100 years, our company and our people have proudly worked together with community organisations and charities to help build a better Australia.
A very important part of who we are and what we do is our News in the Community program, which demonstrates our commitment and passion to our communities.
We believe we have a responsibility to our people and our readers to support causes that matter most to them. Our pillars aim to create stronger communities, help build a heather nation, and provide an education for all.
We inform, advocate, inspire and innovate to help build a better Australia.
1 Degree was a ground-breaking initiative when it launched in 2007 and in the years that followed it achieved a remarkable series of environmental milestones as well as inspiring many people around the business.
Since 2016 we have reduced our emissions by 27%, the equivalent of taking 8,567 cars off the road, achieved zero waste to landfill at our print sites and sourced 100% of our newsprint from certified material.
Most notably, 1 Degree encouraged Australian communities to take that add up to make a big difference on the environment.
We are re-imagining and re-powering our 1 Degree environmental program and inviting all at News Corp Australia to get involved and help to improve the environment in our workplaces, our homes and our communities.
